It's been a while since I have wrote on here as I have been busy on my 2nd placement which I have just finished.
I have been teaching in a lovely Year 1 class. I was a little apprehensive about teaching in KS1 as I have never worked within the National Curriculum before but I've had a great time.. so a note to EYP's/EYT's debating the PGCE it's not so scary after all! Although I must confess my heart still lies in Early Years :)

I have been teaching nearly every area of the curriculum, but I've especially enjoyed teaching Talk for Writing for the first time using The Three Little Pigs story. The children in the class really enjoyed it too and produced some great independent writing after 2 weeks on the topic.

So now that another placement is over, I am just waiting for news of where I will be placed my final placement. In the meantime I will be having a well earned break over the next week (and squeezing a 2000 word essay in but I won't bore you with that!) ready for going back to Uni the following week. I will be spending some time back studying then going back to my School Embedded Learning school in Preston (see earlier blogs for info on this) for a Creative Week which I will be taking over the whole curriculum and making learning in the EYFS lots of fun with my fellow students. The theme for the week is...The Three Little Pigs! So I have a fresh memory full of ideas to use and I can't wait to spend sometime back in EYFS.
Keep checking back for news on how this goes!
Thanks for reading,
Pam :)
